Migration

What it does

  • Each subscription keeps the next charge date from your export, read in your store's timezone and required to be after today, so nothing is due at import time and no customer is charged by the import.

  • Running the same import again creates no duplicates. A subscription that is already imported, or still being confirmed, is skipped.

  • Two imports cannot run on the same job at once, and a row whose result is unclear is checked against Shopify before anything is created again.

Step by step

How it works

  1. Upload the export

    Subscriptions can be imported from Recharge, Skio or Loop CSV exports.

  2. Read the import review

    Your import review shows which subscriptions are ready, which are skipped and why, and the monthly recurring revenue that would move. It creates no subscription and changes nothing in Shopify.

  3. Approve the import

    Only rows marked ready are created, and a row that changed since the dry run is refused instead of imported.

  4. Confirm payment where needed

    A subscription is created active only when the export names Shopify Payments and the customer has a payment method saved with Shopify. Every other row is created paused.

What it does not do yet

Limits are listed plainly so you can judge fit before you start.

  • Discount codes in an export are not recreated. Each subscription is created at the price your export shows.

  • Arc creates one subscription with one product line for each exported row. It does not combine rows into a single subscription with several products.

  • Arc does not create Shopify customers. A row whose customer is not in your store is reported and not imported.
