Customer portal
What it does
Subscribers can skip or reschedule a delivery, pause and resume, swap products, change quantity, address or frequency, and order early.
When a subscriber swaps a product, the line is repriced at the new product's price with the plan's discount applied, never left at the old price.
A subscriber can switch to a payment method already saved with Shopify, or follow a Shopify-hosted page to add a new one. Arc stores no card data.
Merchants set the portal's logo and colors, and an unsafe logo link or color value is dropped instead of rendered.
Step by step
How it works
The subscriber asks for a link
A subscriber asks for a sign-in link from your storefront. Arc emails it only to a customer who owns a subscription with your store, and the page looks the same whether or not an email was sent.
They open the link
The sign-in link works once and expires after a short time. A used, expired or unknown link opens an expired-link page and signs nobody in.
They manage the subscription
Every portal action runs as the signed-in subscriber. A subscription that belongs to another customer or another store is refused before anything changes in Shopify.
What it does not do yet
Limits are listed plainly so you can judge fit before you start.
The portal has no passwords. A subscriber signs in with an emailed link and asks for a new one when it has expired.
A swap, quantity change or frequency change is refused with a plain message while an add-on is pending on the next order, and nothing is changed.
Try it with your own subscribers.
