What it does
A gift can end when its prepaid term ends, or continue on the recipient's own payment method once they have saved one.
A gift paid with a discount code, at a zero price or on the wrong plan is held for your review and cannot be redeemed.
Redeeming a gift never charges the gifter again, and the recipient is not billed during the gifted term.

How it works
Mark a plan giftable
A plan can be marked giftable, and only giftable plans can be bought as a gift from your storefront.
The gifter pays at checkout
A gift becomes redeemable only after Arc reads the paid Shopify order and confirms the gift line is on the gift plan at the full plan price.
Nothing is sent early
The gift form on your storefront is rate limited and sends no email and no link itself. The recipient's email goes out only after payment is confirmed.
The recipient redeems
The recipient redeems with a single-use link that works once, and a gift that is unpaid, in review or cancelled cannot be redeemed.
What it does not do yet
Limits are listed plainly so you can judge fit before you start.
A gift is paid once by the gifter at checkout. Arc does not renew it on the gifter's card.
Arc never creates a continuing gift subscription without a payment method for the later cycles. Until the recipient has saved one, the gift waits.
