What it does
The recovery view shows the recovered amount, the recovery rate and the attempts behind it, with a funnel from failed to retried to recovered.
A subscriber's lifetime value is the months they have been active times their monthly revenue, plus the revenue recovered from their failed payments.
Step by step
How it works
A recovery is counted
A payment counts as recovered only when it succeeds for the same billing cycle as a failed attempt Arc was retrying, and each recovery is counted once. An ordinary renewal is never counted as recovered.
Revenue is put on a monthly basis
Monthly recurring revenue is normalized by billing interval, prepaid terms included. When Arc cannot work out an interval it flags a data gap instead of guessing.
Subscribers are grouped into cohorts
Subscribers are grouped into cohorts by signup month, with the share still subscribed at each later month. A store with no subscribers sees no curve instead of an invented one.
What it does not do yet
Limits are listed plainly so you can judge fit before you start.
A cancelled subscriber's cancellation month is taken from the contract's last update, because Arc does not store a separate cancellation date.
Lifetime value is what a subscriber has earned so far. Arc does not project future lifetime value.
